FIT Club 2008

The FIT Club is our way of recognizing your dedication to your personal fitness goals. The program was designed to reward consistency in attendance, which is key to attaining/maintaining your fitness goals. The current industry standard is a minimum of 3 hours of aerobic activity weekly, which is equivalent to 150 classes. Everyone who completes 150 classes during 2008 will receive a Jazzercise Bronze Handbag. Those who reach the 200 class goal in 2008 will receive a matching Jazzercise Bronze coin purse.

All FIT Club members are recognized on our “Wall of Fame” banner each year.

Policy Change on EFT HOLDS

As of January 1, 2008, we will no longer be accepting HOLD requests for your EFT account. Your EFT pricing structure gives you over three months free (this is worked into your price).

EFT Cancellations

EFT cancellations are accepted only in writing by the 15th of the month prior to the month you wish to hold or cancel. cancellations cannot be accepted by phone or email. You must stop by one of our 8 facilities to complete a cancellation form.

Child Care Policies

Due to safety and liability concerns, children of any age are not allowed on the dancefloor at any time during a Jazzercise class. If a child is brought to class, he/she should remain outside the room and off of the dancefloor. Babysitting services are available for select classes. Please check our website for more information.

For Your Safety!

We hope you are enjoying the diverse choreography provided by Jazzercise, particularly in our strength routines. Judi Sheppard Missett recognizes the time famine we are all dealing with and has designed routines that work both the upper and lower body for maximum efficiency. The movements in these routines are very effective when performed correctly and require FULL attention to your technique. Please listen to your instructors carefully and stay tuned in to your body and what it is telling you.

The movements in all of our routines are carefully checked for safety and effectiveness. You can avoid a potentially greater risk of injury by performing the movements as directed by your instructor. Some may wish to modify a movement for greater challenge, while some prefer to modify for less challenge. Our Instructors will give you the proper modifications for each routine presented; please pay attention to their cues and safety tips. If you still don’t understand the technique for a particular move, if it doesn’t feel right or causes any discomfort, modify or stop the movement then ask for additional assistance from your instructor after class.

Sign In Please...

It’s important! Be sure to sign in at every class you attend. Do not assume that the class managers will automatically sign you in. Please print your name, or sign legibly. Attendance numbers are regularly used by Jazzercise to spot trends, measure the success of class time slots, etc. Your help in keeping attendance numbers accurate is greatly appreciated.

WARMING UP AND COOLING DOWN...

Warming up/cooling down are two of the most important components of class. While life does get in the way sometimes, please try to arrive on time to take advantage of the initial warm up. This 4-5 minute period of gentle movements helps to deliver blood and oxygen to the muscles prepareing them for the aerobic workout to follow. If you do come in late, start with gentle, low impact movements to warm up as you follow along.

Have to leave after the aerobic portion of class to make an appointment or pick up the kids? Slow down on or before the last routine using low impact, low intensity movements to bring your heart rate down to a light to very light range of perceived exertion before you stop (60% of your maximum heart rate).

The cool down/stretch is equally important. If you are leaving before after a toning routine take a minute or two to stretch the muscles you just worked before you go.

Jazzercise classes are designed to be a complete workout. Class structures are developed to meet the American College of Sports Medicine guidelines for safe and effective exercise. To get the most out of your workout—and your paying for it, so why not—you need to participate in the entire class.
